Attendance aggravation?
The problem

There are many reasons why staff fail to attend training. These could include pressures of work, other commitments, failing to appreciate the costs of putting on the training course, wilfully avoiding training and not realising that they are expected to attend.

If cancellations and no shows are not monitored, then patterns of behaviour and persistent offenders may be overlooked. When training courses are missed, the fact that the employee now has a training gap may also be missed.

A sporadic approach to the problem is unlikely to produce long term results.

The Solution

Training Manager Pro provides a simple way to communicate with staff and with line managers, helping to ensure that bookings are not simply forgotten or overlooked. Reminders can be scheduled for all training courses, removing the excuse of simply not being aware that training is taking place.

Training Manager Pro can produce Microsoft Outlook booking requests, or, with suitable permissions, bookings can be made directly into participants’ Microsoft Outlook Calendars. Using Training Manager Online allows staff to view their own training bookings online, removing the need to check last minute details with training administrators.

Cancellations, no shows and costs can all be monitored, facilitating the identification of repeat offenders and poorly performing areas. Cancellations within a set time interval can lead to the production of cancellation fee invoices. Cancelled bookings and no shows can be converted to Training Needs and then onto replacement bookings, minimising training gaps.

This combined approach of improved and timely information delivery and the ability to make staff and managers aware of the costs of non-attendance can lead to dramatic improvements in attendance levels and to significant cost savings.
